Gatherings for all women are held several times a year at the church or in another location.

Service to the Church:

All circles provide service to the church, participate in mission projects and take up special offerings such as the Least Coin Offering.  New members are welcome any time but the new study begins each Fall.

Circle Descriptions:

Ruth was the great-grandmother of David. She was a foreigner who turned to the Israelites’ God and so became a part of his faithful people. Ruth wore an aura of faith and love, but never allowed her feet to leave the ground. Her character was grounded in religion, generosity, responsibility, work and courtesy.

Joanna was the wife of Cheeze, steward of Herod the Tetrach. Joanna traveled throughout Judea and Galilee with Jesus and his disciples and assisted his work financially. Joanna also went with Mary Magdalene to the sepulcher, found it empty and rushed to the disciples with the news that the Lord had risen.

Faith Circle provides childcare for those who have infants, toddlers and preschoolers. All Faith Circle members are mothers though some have high school and college aged children. The mixed age group of members enjoy informal Bible study with a bring your own brown bag lunch. Dessert is provided for the group on a rotating basis.

Lydia made her living in Philippi by selling purple dyes and cloth. She was a worshipper of God before Paul arrived in Philippi. She received the Gospel of Christ gladly and became Paul’s first convert in Macedonia and Europe. At her invitation, Paul and his missionary associates stayed in her new home. Lydia Circle meets each month in member’s homes.
