Getting Involved at Bush Hill
Most of the work of the church is carried on by seven
Session
Committees and several
Fellowship Groups.
Click on the links for more information about these groups.
Our
Deacons
provide discreet, loving, and spirit-filled pastoral care to their
zone members, and our
Stephen Ministers take
care of the spiritual/mental well-being of our congregation.
Music is a big part of our worship at
Bush Hill Church and also provides many opportunities for fellowship
and involvement. The choirs, individuals, and instrumentalists at Bush
Hill Church provide music regularly throughout the church school year
and periodically during the summer. Everyone with an interest in music
is encouraged to join.
Our comprehensive
BHPC Information Guide
explains
the many opportunities for committee work and fellowship available to you in the life of this church.

Interested in Membership?
Approximately three times
per year, an Adult Inquirers' or New Members' Class
is offered, primarily for
non-members who are considering the possibility of membership
in Bush Hill Presbyterian Church, or for people who are simply
interested in learning more about the Christian faith or the
Presbyterian Church. The course, taught by our pastor and various
church members, will discuss ...
-
The
characteristics of a healthy member.
-
The basic beliefs of the Christian faith, since we are a
disciple of Jesus first and only Presbyterian as a means of
expressing that relationship.
-
That you may be a Presbyterian and just didn't
realize it.
-
The core beliefs and purpose of the church.
-
Connecting the Presbyterian Church (USA) with the
rest of the world.
-
Who we are (our identity) and what our priorities
(goals) are as we grow in our faith and serve Christ at Bush
Hill Presbyterian Church.
When the class is over, there will be an opportunity for
participants to join Bush Hill Presbyterian
Church, if they so desire. The purpose of the course is to help people make informed,
personal decisions about the Christian faith and church
membership.
