There are many
opportunities for fellowship at Bush Hill Presbyterian Church. Our
Congregational Life (Friendship, Fellowship, and Outreach) Committee seeks to generate opportunities for members and
friends of the congregation to get to know each other in an informal
setting at different times during the year. To do this, the
committee plans
events such as the annual Congregational Picnic and the annual
Congregational Retreat in the fall, and receptions are held once a
month after the worship service on Sunday. In addition, Bush Hill
Church has several Fellowship Groups which meet on a regular basis.
They are described below. |

Youth Groups:
There is a group for all youth at Bush Hill Church. The
Middle School Fellowship includes youth in grades 7 and 8; the
Senior
High Fellowship is for youth in grades 9-12. These two groups
usually meet on Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM; but depending on the
activity planned, they may also meet at other times.
College Age Fellowship for college-age youth
(ages 18-22) includes those who are attending college, in the
military, or working. Special events are planned for this age
group, especially when those attending college would be home for
holidays and during the summer. Visit the
Youth
Page for more
information.
Young Adults :
Young adults normally meet on
the first Friday of the month (with some exceptions) for "First
Fridays." Join the group for food, drink, fellowship, and a good
time. Check our online calendar for dates, times, and locations.
Presbyterian Women:
Presbyterian Woman (PW) are involved in study, service, sharing,
and support. Monthly meetings include Bible study, prayer,
laughter, and of course, food! Each circle (click
here for more
information) has its own unique character and each meets at
times and places that meet the needs of the members of the
group. Child care can be provided if needed. All circles come
together several times a year for group events, called PW
Gatherings.
Men’s Group:
The Men's Prayer Group meets from September through May on the
second Saturday and fourth Thursday of the month for Bible
study, fellowship, and food. More
information on the
Men's Group Page.
Hilltoppers:
A fellowship group, primarily for
retired members, who normally meets for lunch on the second
Thursday of each month. There is usually a special program
planned for the time after lunch. They also meet occasionally
for special activities, such as going to a dinner theater or
musical program. The Hilltoppers are usually instrumental in the
"Hanging of the Greens," decorating the church for Christmas.
Pillow Stuffers:
This group usually meets once a
month at a member's home for fellowship, lunch, and their
mission project, which is making pillows for open-heart surgery
patients at Inova Fairfax Hospital. |
