Bush Hill
Presbyterian Church seeks to
help everyone in our church family develop a basic knowledge and
experience of the Christian faith and biblical heritage, and understand that we are children of God and disciples of Christ.
Church School is held at 9:30-10:30 AM from September
through mid-June. During the summer, special programs will be offered. The dates and times will be published on the website
and calendar.
Sunday Seekers
- Building Communities, Making
Connections,
and Expanding Horizons
This is a new format for church school, and begins
on September 9, 2007, (see Kick-Off information above). With this
ministry, the Christian Education & Nurture Committee hopes to build a
faith community of all ages. Disciples will be guided by
learning and practicing the faith through experience and stories; and
because everyone has something to share and contribute, there will be a
time for everyone to participate. Everyone will meet together in Catlin
Chapel for Praise and Worship and Scripture, then divide into smaller
groups to respond to the Scripture.
Sunday Seekers will be:
Intentional - done for a reason and a purpose
Authentic - will be real and meaningful
Experiential - in both learning and worshiping
Scripture and Story-led - to include God's story,
Bush Hill's story, each individual's story
Focused - on building relationships and building
our community of faith
Confirmation Program
The Confirmation Class (grades 9–12) meets each Sunday
morning during the Christian Education hour from 9:30–10:30. Members of the
group attend weekly meetings, participate in a retreat, get involved in
mission at church and off-site, meet with mentors, and share their
experience with their families and the congregation.
Note - New for September 2007: There will
be a separate class for parents of those participating in the
Confirmation Program. The parents will meet in a separate room from the
confirmation class.
Youth and College-Age Ministries
Youth, other than those in the Confirmation Class, will
participate in Sunday Seekers during the Christian Education hour. On
Sunday evenings, youth can participate in either the Middle School
or Senior High Ministries at the regular time of 6:30 PM or in
special events occurring at other times - see the

Children’s
Ministries
In addition to Sunday Seekers, there are
additional ministries for children.
Wednesday Club
is for elementary-age children (Kindergarten age through Grade 6); this
ministry also involves a large team of youth and adult volunteers.
Wednesday Club Registration
Form Enrichment Classes
are offered during the worship service for children, age 3 through
Kindergarten age. Splash!, created by the Presbyterian
Church, is for children from birth through age 3. More information is found on the
