Bush Hill
Presbyterian Church seeks to
help everyone in our church family develop a basic knowledge and
experience of the Christian faith and biblical heritage, and understand that we are children of God and disciples of Christ.
Christian
Education is held at 9:30-10:30 AM from September
through mid-May. During the summer, special programs will be offered. The dates and times will be published on the website
and calendar.
Christian Education
-
From September through mid-May, all ages meet together
at times during the year in Catlin
Chapel for Combined Worship; on the other
Sundays, Christian Education classes are divided by age groups (see
below). Check
our website often for new information.
Adult
Ministries:
Reformed Theology 101
What do Presbyterians really believe? Here is your chance to start back
at the basics and consider what our church's reformed tradition believes
as it intersects with what you believe. No experience or background is
needed. It's your chance to tackle the big questions like: What are we
doing here? Who and where is God? What does God want with us? Are you a
Christian? Who and what is the church? What is going to happen to us?
And more! You will explore Shirley Guthrie's book, Christian Doctrine.
We don't promise answers, but come and be a part of the discussion!
Parent Confirmation Class
The parent confirmation class is a relaxed and supportive
environment where parents can openly discuss the weekly confirmation
topics as well as other joys and struggles of being a Christian parent
today. All parents of youth participating in Confirmation Class are
strongly encouraged to join this engaging class with other parents
walking through this same family journey. Come talk about your own
faith, raising your youth in faith, and the struggles all parents of
youth face.

Confirmation Program
The Confirmation Class (grades 9–12) meets each Sunday
morning during the Christian Education hour from 9:30–10:30. Members of
the group attend weekly meetings, participate in a retreat, get involved
in mission at church and off-site, meet with mentors, and share their
experience with their families and the congregation.
There is a separate class for parents of those
participating in the Confirmation Program. The parents will meet in a
separate room from the confirmation class.
Youth and College-Age Ministries
Youth, other than those in the Confirmation Class, will
participate in Christian Education classes during the Christian
Education hour. Youth may also participate in either Middle School Fellowship
(Core) on Wednesday afternoons;
or High School Fellowship on Sunday evenings; or
at other special events occurring at times different from the
regularly scheduled times - see the
Youth Page for more information.
This page also includes information on the College-age
Ministry at Bush Hill Church.
Children’s Ministries
In addition to regular Christian Education classes, there
are additional ministries for children.
Wednesday Club
is for elementary-age children (Kindergarten age through Grade 6); this
ministry also involves a large team of youth and adult volunteers.
Enrichment Classes
are offered during the worship service for children, age 3 through
Kindergarten age.
