Sunday
Seekers
All Ages
Church
School is available for all ages. The new format, Sunday
Seekers, hopes to build communities, make connections, and
expand horizons for all who attend. Everyone will begin
together in Catlin Chapel for Praise and Worship and
Scripture, then divide into smaller groups to respond to the
Scripture. More information on the
Christian Education page.
Splash!
Birth through 3
Splash! is a new ministry for children, from birth
through age 3. Created by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.),
Splash! provides parents of children in this age
group with a monthly newsletter with ideas for faith-filled
play, worship, meals, and prayer. Once a year, these parents
will also receive a CD filled with music and stories
appropriate for each age group.
Support Splash!
The
3–year program costs $50 per child. Your financial support
of this ministry will help nurture these young families.
Splash! is also a way to live out the promise the
congregation makes at each child’s baptism: to raise and
nurture our children as disciples of Christ.
Enrichment
Program
Age 3 through Kindergarten
Bush Hill offers an Enrichment Program
during
the second worship service (also during the single summer
service) following the children's sermon, for children age 3 years through
kindergarten. If there is a Baptism during worship, the children leave for
Enrichment after the Baptism.
Wednesday Club
Kindergarten through Grade 6
We believe that nothing is more
important than building a relationship with Jesus Christ,
and that we all should seek to be His disciples. Wednesday
Club focuses this belief on the nurturing of children,
helping them develop into lifelong believers and practicing
disciples of Jesus Christ. Wednesday Club's four
components (Recreation, Church Family Time, Bible Study, and
Worship) help build a stronger community among the children
and provide a foundation for them as they grow up in the
church. Wednesday Club is led by a team of organized
volunteers. Also, the sixth grade participants will have a
chance to take on leadership roles as they work with the
younger children.

Acolytes
Grades 4–6
An acolyte is defined as an
assistant to the pastor for performing minor liturgical
functions during the worship service. Bush Hill's acolytes
light the candles on the communion table during the prelude,
which marks the opening of the worship service, and
extinguish the candles after the benediction, symbolically
carrying the light out into the world. The acolytes receive
formal training before assisting in the worship service.
They also participate in service projects for the community
and the church.
