Background Information:
On January
30, 2002, the Bush Hill Presbyterian Church congregation decided to upgrade the physical
facilities of the church, and they established a goal to plan and implement a
major renovation in the next five years. The "Vision 21st
Century Committee" (V21CC) was established to
coordinate the achievement of this goal. Since its formation, the
committee has met on a number of occasions, initially to try to
establish a foundation for its mission. Notably, the V21CC worked in
conjunction with the Pastor Nominating Committee to identify the
components of BHPC’s current, and likely future, program to be addressed
as part of any building project.
Through the initial planning stages,
feedback suggested that any building project should consider updating
classroom and office facilities, expanding space and modernizing
facilities for fellowship and church group activities, creating
opportunities for expanded local mission projects, and providing easier
access throughout the physical plant, including adequate access to
restroom facilities. This addition to BHPC’s website, which will post
articles that appear in the church's newsletter
TEMPO along with other information, is intended
as a means of keeping the congregation advised of its work.
The congregation voted to move forward with this Building
Campaign at its annual meeting in January of 2005. Click here for the
