What a wonderful event this was—with a great program of interest to all and an opportunity to meet and greet friends from the past who have meant so much to the life of this church over the years. Many thanks are due to Wanda Violette, Pat Bauer, Clare Kampe, and a host of others on the Celebration Committee who worked so hard to make this event truly outstanding and memorable. In this regard, please note the certificate below, and hanging in the narthex, commemorating the 50th Anniversary. This was sent to Bush Hill Church from the Presbyterian Historical Society and the Office of the General Assembly. An accompanying letter from the Stated Clerk of the General Assembly reads, in part, “As you celebrate this important milestone in your history on October 26, 2008, I pray that your ministry will be renewed and refreshed. May the grace of our Lord continue to bless your work and worship.” Thanks also to Fred Kuntz who framed the certificate, providing a place on the reverse of the frame to hold the letter and the bulletin from the event. - Dave Stumbaugh, Clerk of Session

The pictures below begin at the Christian Education special celebration and continue through the day, ending at the Anniversary Dinner at the Hilton in Springfield.
